Blogs seem like a great way to keep in touch with a large number of people while at the same time relieving all parties of the obligation to maintain personalized correspondence. I post at my leisure and you check at yours...and nobody feels bad for not sending a postcard.

Phil, I am soooo happy for you and proud that you are my nephew! You are so brave to take on this adventure! I cant wait to hear about your experiences! You will have the time of your life! I am so excited for you!! Africa is one of those places I HAVE TO go to before I die. I hope that you have an AMAZiNG time. You will have some great experienes to tell us when you return. Hopefully I'll be able to fly to Oregon and visit everyone before moving to Colorado. If not, you know you are ALWAYS welcome in my home. I love you BIG BROTHER!!

What is up phill. Just thought I'd leave a comment too. Hope you are doing great over there. Sounds like you are. I would have posted sooner, but the message you parents sent out went into my spam folder.
Make sure you build high quality cabinets because I've heard that those school kids can be suckers for good cabnetry.
Watch out for big ants.
Also, perhaps most importantly make sure you don't stop writing poetry.
